About this site:

This How Low Can You Go web site is based on the nutrition book of the same name. Both the book and the site look at food from a different perspective. The author, Dr. Morse, wanted to know if there was a lowest limit set for the macronutrients instead of looking at the maximum.

Most people try to get away with eating as much as possible or they go in the opposite direction and don’t eat enough of the important nutrients. The book and website is set up to help you figure out how low is safe over the long run. An occasional day where you don’t eat enough food won’t hurt you but if you leave out important nutrients on a day to day basis then you could be looking at trouble down the road.

This site was developed to help people who read the book to be able to calculate the amount of nutrients they ingest daily. There are calculators for you to figure out your BMR, your daily intake of each macronutrient, and the level of vitamins and minerals you need based on your age and gender. You will also find interesting articles relevant to nutrition, herbs, and aging, as well as links to news items that relate to nutrition and diet.

The web site has been designed and is maintained by the webmaster of Information Nebulous.
